NMLS-Approved Continuing Education – Course Final Exam Information

It is required for a student to pass a course final exam for any Online Self-Study course. Once all modules are completed, a course final exam must be passed with a 70% or higher to receive credit for the course. A student has six attempts to pass the course final exam.

The number of questions on the course final exam depends on the course taken. Please review the information below:

7-Hour SAFE Core & 8-Hour SAFE Comprehensive OSS CE Courses

Passing Score – 70%
Final Exam Attempts – 6
Number of Questions – 30

3 Hour New York State-Specific OSS CE Course

Passing Score – 70%
Final Exam Attempts – 6
Number of Questions – 25

All Other State-Specific OSS CE Courses

Passing Score – 70%
Final Exam Attempts – 6
Number of Questions – 15

When the student is ready to take their final exam, they will click the “Final Exam” module.

If students do not pass their first attempt, they have six attempts to pass. If the student does not pass after six attempts, they fail the course and will need to re-enroll. For re-enrollment, we will charge the student the tuition cost only (minus the NMLS reporting fee), and they are required to complete all the coursework again.
