NMLS-Approved Pre-License – Late Arrival/Early Departure Attendance Policies

We recognize that our students sometimes experience unforeseen schedule conflicts after enrolling in a class. Our policies vary for different types of programs.

These programs are completed in multiple days of class attendance. Students are expected to attend and participate in each class session. Late arrivals are not permitted, so we recommend that students plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled classes.  Students who do not arrive for class on time will be required to complete the entire session on a future date when it is available. Students who must leave early will be required to complete the whole session on a future date when it is available.

Below includes some scenarios of a student missing or being late for class depending on program type:

Q: What if a student is late for the 1st day of class?

A: If a student is more than 15 minutes late and it is their first day of class, we will need to have them reschedule to another start date. We offer a free one-time reschedule at no charge. If the student reschedules again less than four business days before the scheduled class, they are subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.

Q: What if a student is late or needed to leave early on any other day of class (not the first day)?

A: If a student attended day one and missed more than 15 minutes on ANY day of class, they must reschedule to another cohort. We offer a free one-time reschedule at no charge. Unfortunately, attendance cannot carry over from one cohort to the next, so the student must attend all the days of the new cohort.  This policy aligns with the NMLS guidelines on tardiness, which can be found here.

Q: What if a student falls behind in the Online Instructor-Led course?

A: The instructor will contact students who begin the course on the assigned start date but do not complete the required work at any point throughout the course. The situation must be rectified immediately by completing all the necessary work and catching up with the rest of the class. Failure to complete all required work by the end of the subsequent class day will result in the student being removed and will need to reschedule. We offer a free one-time reschedule at no charge. If the student reschedules again less than four business days before the scheduled class, they are subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.  We cannot reschedule students any later than Thursday of the preceding week.
