Suppose an applicant has a current, active license in another jurisdiction or state equivalent to North Carolina’s provisional broker license within the last three years. In that case, they may qualify to waive the Prelicensing course and the “National” section of the North Carolina real estate license examination.
All inquiries related to reciprocity or substantial completion of real estate education should be directed to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Details of eligibility and requirements can be found in the Real Estate Licensing in North Carolina booklet.
