For each major line of authority (Life, Health, Property, or Casualty), it is required to complete 20 hours of Pre-License education. Part of the Pre-License education must be completed with live instruction, and Real Estate Institute offers the live instruction live via webinar.
Effective July 28, 2021, IDOI signed into law that insurance. Pre-License courses are permitted to be completed as a live webinar. Before that, this requirement was only allowed to be completed in person in a classroom. The remaining 12.5 hours may be completed self-study.
Real Estate Institute offers Pre-License education for Property & Casualty and Life & Health.
When a student enrolls and completes our Property & Casualty or Life & Health Pre-License package, 40 hours of Pre-License education will be completed. If a student enrolls in all lines (Property, Casualty, Life, and Health) Pre-License package, 80 hours of Pre-License education will be completed.
