The Illinois Department of Insurance (IDOI) currently accepts our general credit hours for a Public Adjuster; however, our content is written for those with an Insurance Producer license. It is possible that someone can hold both a Public Adjuster license and an Illinois Insurance Producer license.
Effective July 28, 2021, IDOI signed into law that Public Adjusters are permitted to complete their Ethics requirement as a live webinar. Before that, this requirement was only allowed to be completed in person in a classroom.
A Public Adjuster can complete our 24-hour package, and Public Adjusters renew their license every two years, but it is not the last day of the birth month like Insurance Producers. The licensee can review their license to verify the expiration date.
